For those who have been following my recordings since my first “solo” album, Saints (2007), here now finally concludes the “trilogy” of the Lucan canticles that I pray every day in the Liturgy of the Hours. Saints featured Mary’s Magnificat, Advent (2013) featured Zechariah’s Benedictus, and now The Older concludes with Simeon’s Nunc Dimmittus. I think it is a fitting end to this album.
